Angular chelitis, angular cheilitis, perleche, cracked corners of mouth, or even angular stomatitis is how some people search for information looking help with an angular cheilitis cure. Angular cheilitis is actually classed as a disease, though it is not known exactly why the sores start. However if not quickly treated quickly the sores may become infected by Candida albicans, (or thrush) or other bacteria.

The condition is more common in the elderly especially when you begin to lose teeth and an overclosure of the mouth occurs. Similar to chapped lips the condition is more common in cold weather such as the winter time and indeed it is not unknown to have both chapped lips and angular cheilitis at the same time.

Initially most people try to cure the condition by using Vaseline or moisture retaining lip balm, but it is more likely that if you’re reading this article your condition has gone beyond this. There is no need to suffer this. It can be cured relatively quickly and easily.
