<p><strong>Bullying in school</strong>, especially pre-school is something we must watch out for. We would all like to believe that when our toddlers go off to pre-school, visit daycare or have play dates that  they are safe. In this day and age, we cannot afford to be so naïve. It is possible that your toddler can be physically and or emotionally harmed. Ask yourself if you would know the signs that would indicate your child is being bullied.</p>
<p>A recent survey reported that an astonishing 63% of children ages four through ten say they are or have been bullied by other children of the same or similar age.  The same survey found that only 18% of these children&#8217;s parents or carers knew or suspected that their child was being bullied.</p>
<p>Bullying is defined as one person using his or her age, size, and aggressive nature to hurt and control other vulnerable children.</p>
<p>Bullies are people who have a very poor self-esteem and dominate others in a futile attempt to increase their sense of self-worth. Bullies can be any age, gender, or ethnic class.  Young bullies, if their behavior is unchecked, become older bullies.</p>
<p>In children, the psychiatric diagnosis of Conduct Disorder is just the beginning of the development of cruel, dominating behavior, refusal to follow social and family rules, substance abuse beginning at a young age, gang affiliation, school suspensions and learning disorders, and a lack of remorse for their actions.  As these children reach age 18, they are diagnosed with the Antisocial Personality Disorder; in most cases, this diagnosis results in criminal behavior.</p>
<p>An estimated 89% of prison inmates in this country are ASPD.  This personality disorders are not &#8220;curable;&#8221; it&#8217;s indicative of deeply-ingrained personality characteristics.</p>
<p>The following is a checklist of symptoms that your toddler may exhibit if he or she is a victim of <em>bullying in school</em>:</p>
<p>- Depression; apathy, irritability, agitation, insomnia, low frustration tolerance, inability to concentrate, bed-wetting and lack of appetite.</p>
<p>- Fearfulness; reluctant to attend pre-school or play dates, crying, feigning illness.</p>
<p>- Questions about &#8220;What would happen if…&#8221;, and &#8220;If I don&#8217;t like Tommy, do I have to play with him?&#8221;</p>
<p>- Physical signs that seem suspicious; unexplained cuts, scrapes and bruises.  When asked, the child makes up a story that isn&#8217;t consistent with the injury.</p>
<p>- Missing personal items; the child comes home without his or her lunch box, loss of small change, missing clothing, games, and favourite toys.</p>
<p>- Regressed behavior; acting younger than his or her age, speaking &#8220;baby talk,&#8221; clinging to parents, urinating or defecating in clothes, and wanting to eat baby food.</p>
<p>If your toddler exhibits any or all of these systems, the first thing you should do is ask the child if he or she is being bullied.</p>
<p>Make sure the child understands that he or she is not in trouble, and that it&#8217;s okay to tell this secret no matter if the bully has threatened further harm if the bullying is revealed. Reassure your child that everybody, including the bully will be safe.</p>
<p>Naturally, if your child is suffering bullying in school or at play dates, you&#8217;ll want to know where were the supposedly supervising parents or teachers?  Once your child has divulged the secret, you have every right to ask the adults why they failed to supervise what was happening at their home or at pre-school.</p>
<p>Don&#8217;t send your child back to a home where adult supervision is so lacking that he or she is being hurt.  If your child is being harmed in a pre-school, speak to the owner or top-level manager about the lack of supervision by the teachers.  If you get no satisfactory answers, remove your child from the school and report the harm done to your child to your Child Protection Agency or Social Services.</p>
<p>Ages ago, the thought on <span style="text-decoration: underline;">bullying in school</span> was &#8220;Fight it out and get over it&#8221;. Not so anymore. There are too many dangers that can&#8217;t be solved by the child standing up on his own against the stereotypical schoolyard bully.</p>
<p>You have to stand up for your child and show him that you will support him no matter what.  Children need to know they can come to you with anything, no matter how horrible it might seem in their mind. You are their hero; you are the one who is ultimately going to save the day and keep them safe. Don&#8217;t let them down.<br />

<p>The decision to confront an alcoholic is never an easy one to make. The most important thing is you should never attempt it when the alcoholic is currently under the influence of alcohol. The confrontation should be planned when he or she is sober. Confronting an alcoholic is sometimes called an intervention and must be carefully planned according to recommended expert guidelines, preferably those issued by a knowledgeable organization like Al-Anon which is the support group for family members of alcoholics. Also,  prior to confronting an alcoholic, you should check with the person&#8217;s doctor or a specialist in treating alcoholic disorders to determine how to prepare yourself and any others who might be helping you to confront a drinker about whom you are concerned. We have listed nine tips that may be helpful in preparing for an intervention.</p>
<p>Instead of formulating a confrontation plan on your own, see what the experts advise by talking to the Al-Anon association in your area. People there can advise you how to plan the intervention, and provide useful resources and information, too. If Al-Anon is unavailable in your area, make an appointment with a licensed therapist, counselor, or psychologist to discuss the nature of the problem and how it might best be approached. Although confronting an alcoholic can be similar in many respects for many families, it is a good idea to clarify unique circumstances or personal characteristics that could make a difference on the outcome.</p>
<p>You might find yourself wanting to berate and condemn a loved one should they come home intoxicated yet again.  This fails to be productive as the drunk will ignore the criticism while under the alcohol influence and most likely forget about it the following when day when sober.  It is crucial to talk to the person when sober and with a bit of luck, open to the idea of hearing your concerns. If a spontaneous opening should not happen, try to schedule a talk after dinner or when the two of you have some privacy and cannot be interrupted.</p>
<p>Your supporters can be other relatives, close friends, or even members of Al-Anon with whom you have become acquainted, since they may have been in similar circumstances as you at some point. They may even decide to join you in confronting the alcoholic in your family. But that will depend on you and the circumstances surrounding the person who drinks too much, as well as professional opinions about the situation.</p>
<p>When confronting an alcoholic, you can&#8217;t afford to be wishy-washy or indirect. Using a factual tone of voice, simply lay out the problematic situation, using examples of the drunkard&#8217;s problem behavior and ensuing results. You may need to list dates, frequency of bad behavior, amounts of alcohol consumed or sums of money spent on drinking, and other data to support your claims. It takes courage to confront an alcoholic, so don&#8217;t back down. If the alcoholic argues with you, remain calm and point to the facts.</p>
<p>People often enable an alcoholic, allowing him or her to stay in that way by letting them sidestep responsibility and manipulate others to ignore his misdeeds or cover for him at work or in public. If you are one of the enablers the alcoholic may assume he can have his way again to get out of the intervention without making any changes. A huge part of an intervention&#8217;s potential for success is the family member who arranges it being able to change, too. A person who wants to help must not continue to enable the alcoholic to abuse alcohol. Stand your ground and most importantly, don&#8217;t let the alcoholic bully or wheedle you into giving up.</p>
<p>Coupled with confronting an alcoholic with the consequences of his behavior is the need for a plan of recovery. If you are working with Alcoholics Anonymous or Al-Anon, they can help you with making arrangements for a problem drinker to enter a rehabilitation program, either onsite at a facility for this purpose, or as an outpatient in a local clinic or support group. In some cases, a halfway house might be an appropriate alternative. Find out ahead of time if a particular detoxification program will accept the problem drinker you are working with, and make preliminary arrangements for the person to be admitted immediately following the intervention. Make it clear that you cannot guarantee the drinker will enroll, much less stay with the program, unless he accepts the program as part of his new life of abstaining from drink.</p>
<p>Should the alcoholic agree to go enter rehab, family members should try to offer support and encouragement throughout the detoxification phase and rehabilitation program. This should involve patient and family education as well and can last anywhere between several days to several months. Many programs last 28 days or less, due to people&#8217;s job and family responsibilities, and some of the rehabilitators can carry on as a non-resident while continuing career and household duties. No matter how the program is designed, love, acceptance, and willingness to support changes in lifestyle speak volumes toward helping the alcoholic become successful in rehabilitation.</p>
<p>As mentioned briefly above, family members living with an alcoholic must be willing to take responsibility for their behavior and make necessary changes, too. Adjustments might include refusing to cover for an alcoholic&#8217;s inability to go to work by reporting him absent, paying bills that the drinker should pay when he has spent his paycheck for alcoholic beverages, and letting the drunkard abuse or terrorize the family by acts of recklessness or violence. Sobriety can actually make life harder for the drinker and his family as everyone adjusts to new rules and learns how to follow through consistently. Some ex-drinkers can be ill- tempered, demanding, and peevish, while others may act guilty, embarrassed, or repentant.</p>
<p>Results may not appear automatically after confronting an alcoholic. The drinker may fluctuate between being in favor to rehab and resisting it, or he may enter rehab but leave early or relapse after finishing the program. Unfortunately, there is no guaranteed. After confronting an alcoholic, all you can do is maintain your points and wait for the drinker&#8217;s reaction. That alone will decide the conclusion of your intervention. If the drinker chooses not to pursue treatment or it proves ineffective, the family should continue to receive counseling and support as they make decisions about the future.</p>
<p>Living with an alcoholic is one of the hardest things to do. Their uncontrolled drinking causes problems that can affect family members and other people. It can be difficult for relatives to dissociate themselves from the drinker and establish effective boundaries between his behavior and theirs to avoid unhealthy enmeshment. But with education, professional support, and courageous conviction, family members can learn to practice tough love when confronting an alcoholic to give that person a fair shot at recovery. An intervention may be the first step toward acknowledging a problem and doing something about it that can make a positive difference in the lives of a problem drinker and his loved ones.</p>

<p>Eating less is the first method most overweight people use to lose weight. This usually starts with skipping meals rather than eating smaller meals. This is the quickest way to put your body in a state where it will actually make you heavier.</p>
<p>Although, at first you&#8217;ll lose some weight when you start skipping meals the weight loss will be very short lived. What you lose at first is water weight and muscle mass. As you lose your muscle mass your metabolism starts to slow down even though you will still be losing some weight .</p>
<p>Breakfast is the first meal that most dieters give up first. They think that skipping breakfast after waking up hungry will cause their body to start burning fat. Your metabolic rate slows down when you skip your breakfast. Your body will then go into starvation mode to protect itself. Your body will start using your muscles as fuel, and start storing fat instead of burning it off.</p>
<p>The human body is very intelligent. It will eat away at your muscles because it knows these are burning off more calories than fat does. This is so your body won&#8217;t burn too many calories while you&#8217;re starving your body throughout the day. Fat storage is something else your body does while you&#8217;re not eating as many meals as you should be. Your body stores fat so it has something to feed on when your muscle have become to small, and are not burning up much energy.</p>
<p>When you eventually eat in the evening your body will sore all the calories from your meal as fat. Your body will learn that it&#8217;s not going to get any more food until the following evening so it will store as much as it can. It will also slow down the rate in which the meal is digested so you&#8217;ll be digesting while you sleep.</p>
<p>5 to 6 meals a day is what you should be looking at eating as part of a successful weight loss program. To speed up your metabolism you need to increase your muscle mass as muscle burn more calories than fat. Cardio is also needed as it can burn an extra 2000 to 4000 calories a week depending on your weight and the intensity in which you train.</p>
<p>Losing weight and keeping it off is not an over night process, and anything that loses you weight overnight will be very short lived. You need to do it safely, and not starve your body of the calories it needs to function properly.</p>

<p>You&#8217;ll find that anyone who drinks heavy will at sometime in their life make a decision to cut down on their drinking or even quit it completely. But the big question they always ask themselves is HOW? Well let&#8217;s start first on how cutting down or quitting alcohol can and will improve your life, your health and you&#8217;ll begin to enjoy life again.</p>
<p>You see, to cut down on your drinking or quit your drinking you need to have a goal to achieve. So if you want to, you&#8217;re going to have to write down reasons for curbing your alcohol consumption. Here&#8217;s a few examples which should help you; Are you seeking to improve your lifestyle? Do you want to improve your relationship with your family and friends? Are you looking to improve your health? What makes you want to drink less?</p>
<p>A recent study carried on people who wanted to give up drinking had some very interesting results. Out of a hundred people who wanted to give up, only half had to write down their main objectives and after a 3 month period 85% of them had actually achieved their goals.</p>
<p>The other 50 they found that a very small percentage (8%) only achieved their goals. The thing here is if you don&#8217;t know what you want or how to get there then you&#8217;re not going to reach your goals, like quitting drinking. <p>Nicotine is the highly addictive chemical present in cigarettes, which makes quitting smoking perhaps one of the most difficult things that a smoker can do. Chances are high that smokers will develop withdrawal symptoms when they attempt to quit. Many smokers cannot withstand the side effects and hence end up resuming their smoking habit. Statistics indicate that, on average, only 4 percent of people who attempt to stop smoking are successful. This is why many people need help and stop smoking aids.  </p>
<p>Because of the complexity of the whole process that is involved when one is trying to quit smoking, many people agree that there is no one proven way to overcome this challenge. Some are advised to try a combination of ways that could make the process less psychologically draining. The methods include a combination of modern medicine, herbal remedies and mental willingness. The nicotine withdrawal is reduced by the use of nicotine replacement therapy, which includes the use of products like the nicotine gum, the smoking patch and a nicotine inhaler.</p>
<p>Quitting smoking depends on how well a person deals with the physical and mental aspects that makes them so dependent on nicotine. Initially, while trying to quit, the person will experience periodic dizziness, headaches, anxiety and are most likely to develop depression. Some people have an increased appetite, are irritable, restless, frustrated, impatient and angry. Some cannot concentrate on their work, while some will have difficulties falling asleep. At this stage, the temptation to start smoking all over again is very strong. Only the strongest and most dogged determination will get an individual past this stage, which will last for several weeks.</p>
<p>The benefits of quitting smoking are many. According to documented statistics, almost half of all smokers who do not quit will die from smoking related problems. Cancer is one disease that doctors say is most likely among smokers. Smokers are also at a higher risk of developing blindness, stroke, hypertension and lung diseases. Quitting smoking efforts have revolutionized the market, and the products that assist smokers in their quest are varied, and many. Manufacturers have developed smokeless cigarettes, which are branded as having no nicotine at all. They have also come up with cigarette filters that eliminate nicotine from the cigarettes before it gets to the lungs. The use of hypnosis as a smoking cessation method is however, the true reflection of what a determined mind can achieve. By using hypnosis, a smoker is able to relax, drop the smoking habit and soothe their anxiety by focusing attention to suggestions played on audio CDs.<br />

<p>BRITAIN SUFFERING FROM BOREDOM EPIDEMIC</p>
<p>A BOREDOM epidemic has gripped Britain – and it is young adults who are being hit the hardest.  More than eight in ten (83 per cent) 18-24-year-olds admit to being bored EVERY day – with just nine per cent claiming to be boredom-free, according to a YouGov survey carried out by tic tac.</p>
<p>In fact, most Britons seem consistently bored until their mid-thirties – with 82% of 18-34-year-olds admitting to a life of daily drudgery.  The boredom epidemic has already spread across the country. In London, 69 per cent of adults of all ages admit to being bored every day – making the city the BOREDOM capital of Britain.</p>
<p>In contrast, Bristolians and those living in the South West are the least bored in Britain – with 50 per cent of all adults claiming to be unaffected by the epidemic.  Overall in the rest of the South, 62 per cent of all adults are bored every day, compared to 67 per cent in the North, 66 per cent in Scotland and 62 per cent in the Midlands and Wales.</p>
<p>Young and old, the survey of 2,000 adults revealed that Brits of all ages combat their boredom the traditional way – by putting the kettle on.  61% of 18-24 year-olds try to beat their boredom with a cuppa, as do almost 70 per cent (69%) of over 55s.</p>
<p>But, while a cup of tea may be enough to keep older people content, in contrast younger adults need a more refreshing little lift to stop them stewing.</p>
<p>Emma Colquhoun at tic tac said:  “Britain’s young adults need something diverting to stop them getting bored.</p>
<p>“Our survey shows that the majority of young people use social networking and internet browsing to wind down – and now there is a website that will help them beat the boredom.  “We think that the tic toc tic tac clock can help to cure to the country’s boredom epidemic.”</p>

<p>You stayed up all night talking about everything &#8211; your dreams and desires and even the things that scare or embarrass you.  But then, as the relationship went a long, you stopped talking about so much.  Everything became so heavy and meaningful.</p>
<p>In the beginning, things were great.  There was a level of trust and open communication that created intimacy and understanding.  So, what happened to that?  Where did it go and how can you get it back?</p>
<p>I used to try to protect my partner from those heavy, bad moods and ugly thoughts.  I went to my room and hung out until I felt like socializing again.</p>
<p>I thought I was noble in my ability to control what came out of my mouth.</p>
<p>I thought I was kind because I never let on what I was thinking.</p>
<p>But what I was doing was ruining my relationships.  There was no relationship.  I was cutting myself off from others and never allowing them to know me.   They never knew what I was thinking or feeling or needing.</p>
<p>I was an island.  A very lonely island.</p>
<p>I really thought that if I let people know the ugly thoughts, not only would they be hurt &#8211; but they would probably become angry and disown me &#8211; betray me, talk shit behind my back.  I would be the outcast.</p>
<p>So I beat them to the punch!  Hah!  I&#8217;d banish myself to my own room (or apartment, as I got older).  I&#8217;d banish myself to silence.</p>
<p>You can either have a N.I.C.E. (Not Interested in Connecting Emotionally) relationship&#8230; where you hide what is true out of fear.  Or you can have an alive, real relationship with intimacy, compassion and understanding.</p>
<p>Some people withhold from their partner and add an extra zinger &#8212;  they put on a show of pain and discomfort in order to punish them.  It&#8217;s an effort to communicate just how much pain they&#8217;re in.  But none of it&#8217;s verbalized.  It&#8217;s a show of the pain.</p>
<p>When you start keeping secrets and withholding,.. when you cut off the sharing of life force between you,&#8230; you&#8217;re cutting off the intimacy in your relationship.  Even if you think you&#8217;re protecting your partner from painful or embarrassing thoughts &#8211; it&#8217;s still destroying your relationship.</p>
<p>Relationships require sharing&#8230; both our dreams and desires along with our doubts and fears.</p>
<p>What are you feeling and what needs of yours are being met or not?  &#8230;</p>
<p>I&#8217;m happy because my need for support in keeping our home is being met.</p>
<p>I&#8217;m disappointed because my need for partnership isn&#8217;t being met in the way we&#8217;re handling our finances.</p>
<p>I&#8217;m sad because my need for connection isn&#8217;t being met when you&#8217;re out with your friends every evening.</p>

<p>Another tip:  when you offer your feelings and needs, it&#8217;s best to follow them with a request.  If you offer them without a request, your partner won&#8217;t know why you&#8217;re giving them the information.</p>
<p>Do you want to be just heard?</p>
<p>Do you want advice?</p>
<p>Do you want to come up with a strategy for meeting your needs?  Why the heck are you telling me this?</p>
<p>Often, a comment without a request will be taken as blame&#8230; which will lead to fixing, fighting or fleeing.  Don&#8217;t leave your poor partner hanging.</p>
<p>Paul and I recommend asking, &#8220;Would you tell me what you heard me say?&#8221;  (Avoid saying &#8216;could&#8217;- it implies they aren&#8217;t intelligent enough to repeat you.  And avoid saying &#8220;What did I say?&#8221; because what you said and what they heard are two different things.)</p>
<p>And one more tip:  don&#8217;t think that little behaviors are enough to be warranted as &#8217;sharing feelings and needs.&#8217;  Fixing your honey a cup of coffee in the morning is very sweet, but it may not communicate your feelings of love and contentment like actually verbalizing the information.  &#8220;I love you so much&#8221;, PLUS the cup of coffee goes much further.</p>
<p>Frowning and throwing around the bed covers while you make the bed may not adequately communicate your feelings and needs, either.</p>
<p>Instead, say: &#8220;I&#8217;m feeling disappointed because my need for support around the house isn&#8217;t being met.  Would you be willing to discuss a way to help that would also meet your needs?&#8221;</p>
<p>There&#8217;s no room for misinterpretation there.</p>
<p>Try it out this holiday season:  make a pact with your beloved to share absolutely ALL your feelings and needs for one day &#8211; the good, the bad and the ugly.  Then follow the information with a request.</p>
<p>Be prepared to spend some time processing and discussing those feelings and needs as they come up.</p>
<p>However, try to avoid getting into BLAMING and &#8216;FAULT&#8217; behind the feelings and needs.   That tends to end up in a free-for-all about evaluations and judgments &#8211; who&#8217;s right and who&#8217;s wrong.  Try to stick with feelings, needs and requests.</p>
<p>Try to do this on a day when you&#8217;ll have the time.</p>
<p>You won&#8217;t want to get cut off because you have to run to pick up the kids right when you&#8217;re getting to the heart of an issue that&#8217;s snuck up silently between you.</p>
<p>You&#8217;re going to want to stay and hold each other and talk it through&#8230; and feel the intimacy of clearing out all of those old, crusty feelings and unmet needs that have been clogging the flow of love.</p>

<p class="MsoNormal" style="line-height: 150%;"><span style="font-size: x-small; font-family: Arial;"><span style="line-height: 150%; font-size: 10pt; font-family: Arial;">The  19<sup>th</sup> December is predicted to be the busiest day of the year on the  roads with most travellers doing an average of 121 miles and several hours. But  with 1 in 10 of us already suffering from a cold or flu, it might not just be  the traffic that’s congested this Christmas. </span></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="line-height: 150%;"><span style="font-size: x-small; font-family: Arial;"><span style="line-height: 150%; font-size: 10pt; font-family: Arial;">New research from  Kleenex Anti-Viral shows that 99% of us are unaware that the car is a cold and  flu germ breeding ground, despite all the signs of a high risk environment:  limited air circulation, closer confinement and questionable, flu-spreading  habits. </span></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="line-height: 150%;"><span style="font-size: x-small; font-family: Arial;"><span style="line-height: 150%; font-size: 10pt; font-family: Arial;">For example, over  half of us admit to leaving our used tissues in the car for longer than a day  and only 30% clean them out once a month, leading to a build up of used tissues  in car doors and footwells. Furthermore, with 55% of our kids using their sleeve  or hand to wipe their noses, after a long car journey we could all find  ourselves sneezing into our Christmas puddings. </span></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="line-height: 150%;"><span style="font-size: x-small; font-family: Arial;"><span style="line-height: 150%; font-size: 10pt; font-family: Arial;">Famous family GP  and mother of three Dr. Dawn Harper, says: “When you’re heading to your  relatives’ for your Christmas turkey it’s easy to forget what you might be  passing on – or even catching – germs along the way. We all forget to take  preventative measures when ferrying the family around in the car but it takes  just one sneeze in a car environment to release millions of airborne  germs”.</span></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="line-height: 150%;"><span style="font-size: x-small; font-family: Arial;"><span style="line-height: 150%; font-size: 10pt; font-family: Arial;">Dr. Harper  continues: “Germs can remain virulent for up to 24 hours, even in a used tissue,  but it is not always easy or practical to throw away a tissue immediately when  you are driving. An easy way to protect your kids against cold and flu germs in  the car is therefore to use an anti-viral tissue that kills 99.9 per cent of  major cold and flu viruses in a tissue.</span></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="line-height: 150%;"><span style="font-size: x-small; font-family: Arial;"><span style="line-height: 150%; font-size: 10pt; font-family: Arial;">Here are her tips  for protecting families against seasonal sniffles:</span></span></p>

<li class="MsoNormal" style="line-height: 150%;"><span style="font-size: x-small; font-family: Arial;"><span style="line-height: 150%; font-size: 10pt; font-family: Arial;">Practice coughing  etiquette – use a disposable tissue (preferably an anti-viral one) and remember  to dispose of it as soon as you can.</span></span></li>
<li class="MsoNormal" style="line-height: 150%;"><span style="font-size: x-small; font-family: Arial;"><span style="line-height: 150%; font-size: 10pt; font-family: Arial;">Open windows to  increase ventilation and reduce humidity (this will reduce the risk of airborne  viruses(</span></span></li>
<li class="MsoNormal" style="line-height: 150%;"><span style="font-size: x-small; font-family: Arial;"><span style="line-height: 150%; font-size: 10pt; font-family: Arial;">If you have a  virus, avoid travelling.</span></span></li>
<li class="MsoNormal" style="line-height: 150%;"><span style="font-size: x-small; font-family: Arial;"><span style="line-height: 150%; font-size: 10pt; font-family: Arial;">Wash your hands  when you get out of the car, and don’t touch your mouth before doing  so.</span></span></li>
<li class="MsoNormal" style="line-height: 150%;"><span style="font-size: x-small; font-family: Arial;"><span style="line-height: 150%; font-size: 10pt; font-family: Arial;">Get plenty of  sleep and exercise, drink lots of water, and eat a nutritious  diet.</span></span></li>

<p>It is often difficult to answer the question which many people ask, which is how to cure heartburn? In reality there is no pill that can completely cure heartburn! There are only ways to get temporarily relief from this burning sensation in the throat and chest called heartburn. Heartburn is caused by the stomach acid pushing into the esophagus and is also known as acid reflux, making one feel total discomfort.</p>
<p><strong>Heartburn Cure</strong><br />
Over millions of people suffer from it and in some cases women that have never had heartburn before in their lives will experience it during pregnancy, known as pregnancy heartburn. So is there really an answer to this question of how to cure heartburn whether it be temporarily or long-term?</p>
<p>Eating the wrong kinds of foods usually causes heartburn. Foods such as spicy foods, acidic foods, things like tomatoes, coffee, colas, tea, alcohol as well as sweets. Smoking can also increase the risk of heartburn. These are often the things that our modern lifestyles encourage.</p>
<p>Many people suggest the following natural heartburn cures to avoid running into this ‘fiery’ problem and stop us from seeking the answer on how to cure heartburn and they include losing weight, changing our eating habits, exercising and overall just changing our lifestyles. Ignoring the problem on the other hand is not a solution on how to cure heartburn; it could just make it worst or cause more damages to the body.</p>
<p>How To Cure Heartburn By Using Food Instead Of Avoiding Food</p>
<p>There are certain foods that people have been using over the centuries that prove to be great natural solutions on how to cure heartburn. Foods such as bananas have been used to soothe heartburn and there are teas that are available on the market that can give relief. Some people prefer drinking hot water and others drink milk to alleviate this burning pain.</p>
<p>The best way also to avoid heartburn is to eat smaller meals throughout the day instead of eating one large meal at one time. Although there is no absolute solution on how to cure heartburn for life, we find that there are certain things that we can do to just make experiencing it much easier and less painful.</p>
<p>At the end of the day heartburn should be viewed as any other sickness and treated the best way whether it be naturally or through medication to avoid having the problem become even worse and later causing serious digestion problems. We should be able to enjoy our foods but also bear mind that everything is better in moderation! <p>Vitamin supplements are often disregarded even though most of us really need them. No doubt, there are many health reasons we might benefit from a supplement. Dieting, a high stress job or a cold are just a few rational reasons for taking popular supplements taken to improve our body&#8217;s immune system and provide improved health.
