<description>Great tips to get prepared for Christmas. I follow most of them already. I like to do my shopping early, and the best day to get real good deals is the day after Thanksgiving.

One thing that I do with Christmas cards that I need to mail is I have my addresses saved in a label template in word. I just have to update the addresses and print when I am ready. Then I only have to sign the inside card and not worry about addressing all of them by hand.

Another great time saver with Christmas gatherings is preparing baked treats such as cookies ahead of time and putting them in the freezer. When a party or special gathering arrives you just need to pull them from the freezer with enough time to allow them to thaw and it saves having to stress as you will be extremely busy. And do not forget that a basket full of baked goodies makes a wonderful gift.
