Breast-feeding your newborn baby is one of the most important things you can do to protect your baby’s long-term good health.
Why?
When you breast feed your baby antibodies from you pass to your baby, which help protect it immediately against illness and allergies. Your baby’s immune system is just developing, and this is a great boost in protection. Babies who are not breast fed, from birth are much more likely to develop infections, especially respiratory ones.
Breast milk is naturally at the right temperature contains a balance of vitamins and minerals, and is naturally best for your baby. Besides, it’s quicker, more convenient, and cheaper.
Apparently breast-feeding helps with developing jaw alignment in young babies. (I didn’t know that one).
Breast feeding naturally burns calories, so in addition to helping bond with your baby, it will help you lose weight after pregnancy.
